TIP: The Core 4 Essays. Don’t Leave Home Without Them.

TALE: Today, students applying to Top 100 colleges will write a minimum of 4 essays and as many as 44 essays. That is not an exaggeration. The University of California requires 4 essays at 350 words each. For each additional public or private application submitted via Common App - students will need a 650 word personal statement and be able to uniquely answer 1 - 6 supplemental essays for EACH college. 

Our essay method has been teen-proofed and battle tested, and we know if students can write the core 4 essays, s/he will be able to answer nearly every question. 

TRUTH: At the end of the day, each essay uncovers another layer of the onion. The Who Am I essay offers the context to understand the applicant. The What Am I Good At reveals that part of the student that says, “This is what I love doing most!” A Coolness Factor is the thing that reminds the reader that this student is a weird, ambitious, silly, awkward teen. The Future Connection essay signals to the reader, “I’m ready for college.”
